My name is Mitchell Tillges…

I am currently based in Portland, OR and am originally from Minnesota. Fashion felt like a kismet path with a background in studio art, photography, and theatre. I aim to design and create curated collections, bespoke fashions, and vivid theatrical costumes with the hope to inspire people to follow the magic that allows them to turn their own dreams into reality. I draw much of my inspiration from the natural world and long time love of illustration. Throughout my life I’ve honed and refined my knowledge base and skillsets along side my studies in dress history, design, and technical development in order to allow my creativity to bloom in three dimensions.

Atelier Tillges will continue to grow while keeping a focus on slow fashion, arts education, the integration of ethical technological advancement, and the preservation of heritage handcrafts because Fashion gives everyone a voice; The ability to be seen in an age when many people don’t seem to notice anything. A picture is worth a thousand words, and when we show up authentically we all have the potential to inspire a million more new beginnings. My passion is to create and garment is my medium.
